Artifact #1: PED 356 Individualized Education Program

Reflection: The PED 356 - Adapted Physical Education & Sport Individualized Education Program was created to help a student with a disability reach particular educational goals based on their individual needs. This artifact meets Element 3.1 of Standard 3 because it shows my ability to design and implement short and long term plans that are linked to educational goals based on a student's unique and individual needs. This artifact is important to my development as a physical education teacher because physical educators need to be able to design individual lessons and plans based on the needs of the student and their educational goals.

Reflection:  The EDU 255 - Basics of Effective Instruction in Physical Education Lab C International Lesson Plan was used to design and implement a lesson on the international game of Sepak Takraw. This artifact meets Element 3.3 of Standard 3 because it shows my ability to create a lesson plan and teach a lesson based on lesson objectives. This artifact is important to my development as a physical education teacher because physical educators need to be able to not only teach a lesson but be able to create a lesson plan with appropriate objectives and implement the objectives within a lesson.
